Inspirational Child Raises Money for Sepsis Charity

Woodfield Junior School pupil Khushi has become an inspiration after raising £558.50 for the UK Sepsis Trust. Khushi lost her father to Sepsis in September 2016, just before starting Year 5. Despite the grief, she continued to be a bright, charismatic and funny child.

Earlier this year Khushi, her mom and her little sister came into school and, along with some friends in year 5, held a bake sale in aid of the UK Sepsis Trust. Nick Moczadlo, a teacher at Woodfield Junior School praised Khushi’s work “She has been very enthusiastic about this project.” Khushi even stood up in front of the whole school to explain the bake sale and why they were raising money for The UK Sepsis Trust.

Mr Moczadlo said, “She has not once let this sadness affect her in school. All the staff are very proud to say they work with such a brave and courageous young lady.”
